Performance-Based Acquisition – The Foundation of our Courses
Since 1996, ASI has been at the forefront of initiatives to transform how the government conducts performance-based acquisitions.
ASI was the sole industry partner on the government-wide team that conceived and developed the Seven Steps to Performance-Based Services Acquisition Guide – widely cited as the definitive process to develop performance-based acquisitions. This innovative methodology takes a life-cycle approach to PBA that yields true performance-based contracts which directly link to mission objectives.
The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) subsequently adopted the Seven Steps as the federal standard for performance-based contracting.
The Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP) has also endorsed the Seven Steps to Performance-Based Services Acquisition Guide as the definitive source for performance-based acquisition guidance, policies, and best practices.
ASI continues to maintain the Seven Steps Guide, which serves as the foundation of our courses.

Customized Online Training
In addition to developing custom classroom/instructor led courses, ASI has the tools, experience and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to build 508 and SCORM Compliant online courses for your agency, which can be deployed worldwide. Online courses are built in video-enhanced instructor-driven or text-based student-driven style and function. Courses incorporate customized font, color, logo, testing criteria and graphics based on your agency's standards and requirements.
